PERANCANGAN KOMIK SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI DALAM MENGENALKAN ATURAN LALU LINTAS UNTUK REMAJA

Abstract

One of the factors causing traffic accidents is negligence and disobedience of motorists to traffic rules. Lack of guidance on proper driving ethics is also one of the factors contributing to the high number of traffic accidents, especially among teenage motorists. To increase knowledge about traffic rules, an educational medium that can provoke their interestis needed. Comics are visual communication media that are presented informatively with writing and pictures, which have the power to convey information optimally and easily to understand especially by teenagers. The purpose of designing this comic is as a medium for delivering interesting information about traffic rules to adolescents, which is expected to be able to reduce the rate of motor vehicle accidents. Data for producing this comic is taken from interviews and surveys, literature that discusses traffic rules, and visual data obtained from photo documentation. The stories in the comics mostly describe various kinds of incidents on the road, including traffic violations and the factors that cause traffic accidents to occur. Traffic rules, such as signs, road markings, and safety riding while driving are also discussed in the comics.
